Why are taxpayers paying for the Supervisor to advertise Southhampton? This is like telling everyone when a hurricane is a threat run to the water with your rubber float! But below could be the reason! This is very sad with the economic problems we face.
We now see the Supervisor has been caught trying to seek in Brookhavens town attorney, hoping no one knows the town law! There is absolutely nothing wrong with the town attorney we have! Why is the supervisor PUSHING for non-residents to have jobs here, take our money and spend it else where. see --Caught------Newsday should put any person they speak with under oath for comments. While Islip Republicans said yesterday they'd like to see the job go to an Islip resident, Nolan pointed out that past Republican-controlled boards had hired or retained commissioners, including an airport commissioner and a town comptroller, who did not meet the residency requirement. Commissioners do not have to reside here, Nolan should have thought about that remark as the residents and tax payers should again be reminded "he knew the comptroller did not reside here and said he didn't care he owned him!" Now obviously the Comptroller didn't want and was not going to be owned. The supervisor, deputy supervisor, town attorney, comptroller, town engineer are the only ones whom HAVE TO be a resident, due to a resolution passed years ago that residence will have priority for other positions. "But that we have seen now is not holding any water."
