At this corner of Timberpoint Rd. and Campbell Lane you cannot see either way cars at the stop signs, so they go right threw. It's called by town law motorist obstruction. The supervisor and its administration chose to ignore. Only the chosen have to comply. We can't see you so why stop? I ask, can you see to the right any car or stop sign, and they don't see you. The town has stated 6/8 there is no obstruction, well not according to -1) code 68-404 and common sense and not to mention the fence.

This was addressed (no response) for a 4th time, but this time by Councilmen Flotteron, NO response by administration, we now have our answer. Now this from the other view on Timberpoint Road, same corner, can you see a car at the stop sign? Heck can you see the sign? But the town says they can. And the fence, does it look like it's 15 feet back, besides obstructing motorist view, more than 4ft high on a corner?

§ 68-404. Obstructions to motorist’s sight.
Visual obstructions to a motorist’s view at the intersection of streets or driveways are not permitted at any time within any sight triangle, as specified herein. Such obstructions include but are not limited to any sign, hedge, fence, shrubbery, foliage, automobile or other object as determined by the Town of Islip, whether movable or stationary, which is higher than three feet and lower than eight feet above the adjacent edge of pavement. Such obstructions shall not include existing buildings, public utility poles, traffic control devices, natural grades, sign posts or small trees which do not exceed 12 inches in diameter or 38 inches in circumference and which are trimmed to the trunk leaving a clear area between three feet and eight feet above the adjacent edge of pavement

B. No fence shall be higher than four feet above the ground at any point
when set back less than 15 feet from a street property line. For corner lots, no fence shall be higher than four feet above the ground at any point when set back less than 10 feet from the second front yard property line. [Amended 1-14-2003; 8-12-2003; 12-12-2006]

Islip sets time restrictions on garbage can placement---In our May 11 column, North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman said he'd meet with Village of Munsey Park officials on May 13 to figure out how to get streetlights working on Route 25A after reader Joe Evans of Manhasset asked for help with the issue. But scheduling conflicts postponed the meeting and a new one needs to be set, town spokesman Justin Meyers said. "Everyone is prepared to work toward a solution," he said.

Islip rules on garbage

Last week, we reported the Town of Islip had no time restrictions on placing garbage cans at the curb. However, town spokeswoman Catherine Green said that based on our inquiry on behalf of some homeowners, the town board adopted a resolution June 10 that states cans must be placed at curbs no earlier than 4 p.m. the day before collection and removed no later than noon the next day. Penalties start at $50.

The supervisor himself has abused town codes and fines himself, so what kind of example is this to follow!

Where do we start, handicap & no parking zone at town hall, motorist obstruction, over growth out of control and unsecure empty home.

Carlton Ave several complaints, this is  taxed- vacant lot, filled with unreg cars, boats, junk yard, cars for sale, fire hazzards- its a 120.00 fine for each unreg vehicle- whats up with that? Oh, it's right next door to the Supervisors meeting grounds with councilmen Parrington, oh ok no rules. But we get to look at garbage!

Terrible flood problem over two years of resident complaints, liter on telephone poles by the supervisor

More over growth and signs nailed right to a tree, renting no permit also, shopping with town car you pay for.

More telephone liter they want to charge you for but it's ok for the administration

Supervisor signs right on property renting illegally and signs to trees and poles, was that the deal?

This whole block telephone poles on Town property with supervisors liter going to CI public works yard, what a slap in the face for workers.  Permits given with no inspections which mother and children were using, done for publicity and campaign payback.

Hang out at body shop on town time with town car, maybe pay some LIPA bills with town car and time (so called GPS! where is it) . More signs at an elementary school on telephone poles.

Still motorist obstruction after 5 complaints in two years, no parking zone at Town Hall, over growth again in two years right up the street from town hall.

Flooding the town took care of sercretly you paid for (town said they saw no water), Public info-sleeping at a dead end, nice. Supervisors car you pay for in NO parking zone, another town car used for personal use you pay for.
