Why? in any self serving ad or information did the person who was given the temporary job of Supervisor, Mr. Nolan not tell anyone he was a 6th grade Substitute teacher at Islip Jr High School, very impressonable age, not very long in Islip? Is this not something to be proud, or? ............I do know teachers have a standard code of ethics never to associate with students after school hours alone, picking up and taking a young boy out in the evening because he was good in class, (confirmed by actual student whom still resides in the Town of Islip and states he will not forget) this just does not sit well as a parent with me, as Mr Nolan did. The school says he still goes up there and watches boys games, I'm trying but can't accept this as normal. No one thought bad of many who were named as enjoying young mens company but it does happen, this is what upsets me. Why was this left out? No example for this town, really now. This is plain and simple a "violation of student teacher ethics" something I think is learned the first day of college? Teaching confirmed as per IslipHigh School. This situation goes back to the ten years missing off a resume considered in the hiring of his supervisor job.
12/28- How is it the new crew of elected officials are not even sworn in until 12 midnite Dec 31 and they are firing people now! Their authority has gone way beyond we can imagine. Letter head memos which they are not even yet are being sent terminating people. This is a very sad and poor start, I think the persons receiving such memos need to see the friendly lawyer, being fired by someone who is not in authority.
** Why has such a fuss been made over this swearing in of these elected people, a very serious question we have is if Nolan and Edwards both are from Islip High, WHY are they using Bayshore High School first of all, and the Town Hall is the place in which ALL these functions take place

4/14--Taxpayers and residents we need to ask our selves why our reputation as a good town is being diminished. Why is the current (new) workers over stepping their authority and treating long time employees as trash, trying to make it miserable for them resulting in taking food out of their families mouths? The current new staff why, wants to make it so horrible for respectable hard workers they will quit. As for the taxpayers and residents the qualifications of the town clerks new staff is very troubling as: if there are documents around in their way "throw them out". This is not an option. A letter was given dated July 2008. Any documents wished to be viewed, thats the taxpayers whom pay your salaries right, you work for them. It is becoming a very unfriendly town and town hall.
We ask, why do the families of elected officials feel they are above the law? This is the family of the Town Clerk Regina Duffy, no less a driving school vehile in a handicap spot very erraticlly parked that people were amazed this person drove and noless a driving school car!
Then to come out and advertise DUFFYS TAVERN on your shirt, parked crazy and in a driving school car, where is the law? And what example do you show?
