We were told its over 300 yards of soil contaminated, but by the smell, lies and looks, we feel its much more.
If you remember a while ago, for the supervisor to run he made a few splashes threw out the town. One being the accusing of town workers stealing gas. mind you it was never proven just stated against the workers. Well what was left out was along with all the missrepresentation, lies, greed, harrassment, lawbreaking acts, they forgot to tell the public the fuel tanks were leaking! WHY WAS THIS NOT CALLED IN UNTIL AFTER I HAD GOTTEN A SOIL SAMPLE ON NOV 28. And yet the spill response was there on 11/13. IT STINKS LIKE COVER UP!
11/13, WHY WOULD THIS TRUCK BE THERE? I GUESS YOU WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO SEE THIS! Spill Response.
dirt taken out of ground covering fuel tanks, it is covered and vented, because it's contaminated. Then:
Tanks are taken out, and quickly taken away.
Town is told get that contaminated soil out of here. Instead they move it over to the side to make room for new tanks,
put in a nice pile on the side , which they state they will use to cover the new tanks. Cigarette anyone? ABOVE THE LAW IN JUST ANOTHER OCCASSION. Soil has been taken by residents to be tested, even though the smell of it can knock you over! This should never be, ethics, common sense, right out the window.
Nice, they hit water, "ITS SO CONTAMINATED WITH GAS!" BUT I WAS CALLED AND TAKEN ON A PRIVATE TOUR by the DEC OF THIS, WHY? AND why did the town "refuse" to give a sample of this water at that time if nothing is wrong. Besides the fact he asked that no one light any cigarettes or matches! The smell of fuel was over welming.
The next day, hose runs all the way threw yard --
out the fence and into a public drain on Carlton Ave.
pumped the water into a county drain on Carlton Ave, this runs into the water we swim in! TEST RESULTS TO BE REPORTED.
